Maybe because they allow colors to really pop and they keep things cool in our hot weather! ;) Just look at how the embroidered pockets on this beauty comes through loud and clear! It has slight slits at the button (4 slits to be exact) at the bottom which makes it easier to walk and also keeps it all breezy and easy! We're guessing 60s or 70s, would be great
