France, III Republic. An Order Of Agricultural Merit, II Class Officer, C.1950 Newly Listed wondering what lay ahead(Ordre du Mrite Agricole). Instituted in 1883. Type I without date 1900. In silver gilt with blue and white enamels, measuring 36. 7 mm (w) x 65. 2 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath and laterally pierced ball suspension, chipping and loss evident in the blue enamels on the reverse centrepiece ring, otherwise the enamels are intact, large rosette on its original ribbon, better than very fine.
