A large round gilt bronze medal, the obverse depicting an Austrian eagle, surrounded by the Coat of Arms of Austrias nine states, the reverse inscribed Fr Verdienste um die Republic sterreich (For Merit for the Republic of Austria), accompanied by a period original ribbon, measures 45 mm in diameter, in overall extremely fine condition.
