the buckles have a brass stamped filigree overlay that is securely affixed with tiny brass screws on the back

these exquisite pearls became extinct in the 1980s due to pollution in Lake Biwa

Venetian Murano Sommerso aventurina lampwork beads. 9-9.5mm. 19 beads, 7" str. b11-bl-2186 Victorian & Art Nouveau Jewelry Acquired in the 1970s7 inch strand of 1950's Venetian Murano sommerso foil lampwork beads (Sommerso translates from Italian as "submerged"). These beads feature bright blue swirls and flakes of aventurina encased in clear glass. They are hand made and slightly off round. Beads measure 9 9. 5mm, with 19 beads on the strand. Pristine condition. .
